InsideOut International is
a 501c (3) non-profit organization established in 2003
in an effort to respond to the burgeoning needs of
emerging women leaders for personal and professional
leadership development. Although women are progressively
assuming leadership roles in every sector of society in
unprecedented numbers, there is still a significant lack
of resources and programs available to address and meet
their developmental needs. One of the distinctive
features of INSIDEOUT is that it facilitates intentional
development within women's lives that are called to
lead. INSIDEOUT is about developing the whole woman in
character, competence, and confidence.
The organization was birthed out of one woman's quest
for personal and professional development as an emerging
woman leader. As founder, Karen Souffrant began sharing
her frustration about the lack of support with other
women; it became apparent that her internal struggle was
not exclusive to her. Being a woman who has been
mentored and intentionally developed by some very highly
respected people, both men and women, Karen expresses
that she enjoys and appreciates the benefits that this
kind of personalized development has afforded her. Yet,
she realizes that this opportunity is not accessible to
a lot of women.
Many times women have returned home, euphoric from a
conference or seminar, inspired to do great things in
their lives, but soon face the difficult reality that
they need ongoing support if they are to fulfill their
life’s mission and purpose. Women discover very quickly
that there are no facilitators readily accessible and
available to work alongside and help them overcome the
challenges of making their dreams and vision a reality.
INSIDEOUT has been formulated for this reason - to
bridge the gap and develop dynamic and effective
emerging women leaders of the 21st century and beyond. |
