Althea R. DeBrule has over 30 years demonstrated
and celebrated leadership experience both domestically
and internationally in human resources and executive
development. She has held senior leadership positions at
some of the nation's premier fortune companies.
At American Express Company, she was Vice President of
Human Resources, where she was responsible to lead Human
Resource executives for the global Travelers Cheques
group. She was a major contributor to the turnaround and
transformation of the oldest business unit in American
Express, transforming it to a growth-oriented,
client-driven, technologically advanced and globalized
operation.
Althea later went on to serve as Executive Vice
President of Human Resources at First Security
Corporation. A chief people strategist, Althea helped to
initiate a corporate culture change to increase client
satisfaction and enhance executive leadership. She was
responsible for developing effective people processes in
performance management, competency, modeling, leadership
and executive development, change management, and
organizational design and effectiveness.
As Senior Vice President of ACNielsen Corporation,
Althea was one of the top fifteen (15) executives and
member of the Operations Leadership Committee. A skilled
leader and developer of people, she was responsible for
building employee satisfaction, strengthening leadership
capabilities, developing and delivering global human
resource processes.
She has been featured in CFO Magazine (March 2000),
Strategy@Work (April 2000), and Human Resource Executive
(May 2001 Cover Article). She currently serves on the
Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors of
Beneficial Life Insurance in Salt Lake City, UT, Board
of Directors of WFD Consulting, Boston, MA, and
Vice-Chair of InsideOut International. Extensive
learning is an important part of her life. To that end,
she is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Trinity
Theological Seminary in Newburg, Indiana.
A founding partner of RADSGroup, and President of Oh
Taste and See Ministries, Inc., she is best known for
her leadership in developing programs that are relevant
to the needs of women in management.
She currently assists women ministry leaders, pastors,
and corporate executives to maximize their personal and
leadership potential through executive coaching and
