Karen
Souffrant is the founder of InsideOut International.
She established InsideOut in year 2003 with a vision to
train emerging women leaders around the world by
providing them with the required resources and support
to enhance their effectiveness.
A visionary leader known for her contagious passion to
motivate people toward achieving their goals, Karen has
worked extensively with young adults, encouraging and
equipping them to fulfill their dreams. She was a
professor at Somerset Christian College, where she
taught Mentoring in Spiritual Direction, New Testament
Studies, Worldviews, and Systematic Theology. An
extraordinary communicator and facilitator, she
regularly conducts seminars and workshops Character
Development, Leadership Development, and Spiritual
Health. Currently, she is the Director of Student
Development at Georgian Court University, Lakewood, New
Jersey.
Karen has spearheaded, organized, and participated in
short-term mission trips to countries such as her native
Jamaica, West Indies, Guatemala, Mexico, and Russia. As
a result of her humanitarian efforts, she has interfaced
with Prime Minister Percival James Patterson of Jamaica
and other key political leaders in Guatemala and Mexico.
Karen is consistently recognized for her ability to
galvanize people from diverse backgrounds into cohesive
groups with a common focus.
An accomplished leader, she received her Bachelor of
Arts degree in Psychology and History from Georgian
Court College; her Master of Divinity degree from
Alliance Theological Seminary; and is currently pursuing
her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership. Karen has
participated in some of the world’s premier leadership
programs such as the comprehensive Women's Leadership
Program at the prestigious Center for Creative
Leadership, ranked consistently by Business Week as the
number one (#1) Leadership Program for executives. She
is also a graduate of the highly selective Arrow
Leadership Program, founded by Leighton Ford.
Some of her affiliations and memberships include
Toastmasters International, New Jersey Association of
Women Business Owners (NJAWBO), American Association of
University Women (AAUW), Association of Independent
Colleges and Universities in New Jersey (AICUNJ),
National Association of Student Personnel Administrators
(NASPA), American College Personnel Association (ACPA),
Youth Advocate Program of Morris and Sussex County, Phi
Alpha Theta ((International History Honor Society).
Karen has also been elected to “Who's Who among Students
in American Colleges & Universities”, and is recognized
as a gifted public speaker. |
